HPEC Nature Journaling with Loveland Open Space (Wild Turkeys)

Event Dates:

• November 19, 2026
• November 20, 2026

Thursday 2 – 4 PM | Friday 9 – 11 AM

What resident population has exploded in Loveland? Our Wild Turkeys! They seem to be comfortable everywhere. We’ll be drawing these fascinating birds and learning some fun facts too. Did you know they can run up to 25 miles per hour?! We’ll have some added turkey feathers, etc. for optional close drawing (detailed study).

At High Plains Environmental Center, we have the option to be indoors or outdoors (or both) as the weather allows. Drawing materials provided, all are welcome.

Art in Nature sessions are designed to make beginners very comfortable and encouraged with sketching and journaling, and to make everyone more knowledgeable about the nature around them.

Registration is required through Loveland Open Space:
