Wild Wonderful Weekend 2022

Date: September 23, 2022
End Date: September 25, 2022

Centerra Engagement Assembly invites the community to the 2nd Annual Wild Wonderful Weekend, September 23 -25 at Centerra in Loveland, Colorado located at I-25 and U.S. Highway 34.  This series of events is open to the public and celebrates Colorado’s first Certified Wild Community – Centerra.

About Wild Wonderful Weekend

The weekend celebration kicks off Friday with a Centerra-wide Scavenger Hunt.  The hunt will run all weekend long – but teams and individuals who complete the hunt by Friday evening will be rewarded with access to special Friday-only promotional offers at participating locations.

The fun continues Saturday with a Wild Nature Walk at Chapungu Sculpture Park hosted by High Plains Environmental Center.  The Promenade Shops at Centerra have host a “wild” afternoon of outdoor activations, wildlife expert exhibitions, crafts, games, and music on their Main Plaza from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Saturday’s festivities will ramp up with the Wild Wonderful Concert at Chapungu Sculpture Park.  Kutandara will bring their high energy, African-inspired music to the stage starting at 6:30 p.m. Then headliner and Northern Colorado favorite, Lady Denim will take to the stage at 8 p.m. to perform their 80s Pop and Indie Rock-inspired tunes. The concert celebration will wrap with a dazzling Fireworks show not to be missed.

Concert tickets are $10 per person and net proceeds benefit the High Plains Environmental Center.  Ticket sales will open on August 26 and are expected to sell out as lawn seating is limited.

“We are excited to continue taking advantage of our beautiful outdoor spaces and celebrate Centerra’s Certified Wild designation by the National Wildlife Federation during our signature event in partnership with the Centerra Engagement Assembly,” stated Celeste Smith, senior marketing director at McWhinney, the master developer of Centerra. “Becoming Colorado’s first certified wild community is a special honor, and we look forward to celebrating with our community and nonprofit partner High Plains Environmental Center who serves as influential contributor in maintaining, preserving and managing Loveland’s precious natural environment and habitat.”
