Light the Night at Centerra – November 28
LOVELAND, CO – NOVEMBER 20, 2008 – With over 450,000 twinkling lights to sparkle at Centerra this holiday season, the community is invited to be part of its first Light the Night event on Friday, November 28. The inaugural event will occur from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Fall River Drive (between Panera Bread and Noodles) at The Marketplace at Centerra, located northwest of the Interstate 25 and Highway 34 interchange in Loveland.
An official countdown to Light the Night will occur at 4:45 p.m., and hay rides for the whole family to enjoy the lighting display will occur from 5 to 7 p.m. Live entertainment from a caroling quartet from 4-6 p.m. and from the Sweetheart City Cloggers at 6 p.m. will add a festive atmosphere for you and yours to enjoy.
Light the Night visitors are encouraged to bring their cameras to capture a special photo moment of their friends and/or family at a staged holiday backdrop.
Attendees to Light the Night are encouraged to participate in Centerra’s Winter Clothing Drive to benefit Loveland’s House of Neighborly Services. All new and gently-used coats, hats, gloves, sweaters and all other cold weather clothing will be collected at the event to be distributed to community members in need of staying warm throughout the winter season.
This year, Centerra’s holiday lighting program has grown to include over 1,500 trees and over 18,000 strands of LED lights. Hues of warm white and cool sapphire blue will illuminate Centerra through February at its main entrances in addition to Medical Center of the Rockies, Chapungu Sculpture Park, and Kroll Factual Data.
The Light the Night event is free and open to the public, although hay ride donations are encouraged. All proceeds will benefit the House of Neighborly Service. For more information about Light the Night, please visit www.centerracolorado.com.
