Motorplex at Centerra: Big Selection, Not Big Tax

Published: August 21, 2007

LOVELAND, CO – August 20, 2007 – In a recent City of Loveland analysis of total taxes and fees paid by auto purchasers in the areas of Fort Collins, Centerra, Windsor, and Greeley, it was determined that taxes paid while buying a vehicle at the Motorplex at Centerra were very close to, or much less than, surrounding areas.

Comparing the total taxes and fees paid on a $30,000 car purchased at the Motorplex, the City of Loveland tax department calculated a Fort Collins buyer would pay $32,010, a Greeley buyer would pay $31,908, a Windsor buyer would pay $31,110 (except in Windsor, where he/she will pay $32,070), and a Loveland buyer would pay $32,010 (except in Centerra, where he/she will pay $32,030). (See tax chart attachment for full comparison).

“With the City of Loveland confirming a level playing field for sales taxes, the convenience of viewing the largest selection of new and used cars at one place in Northern Colorado, and Motorplex dealers pricing aggressively and providing outstanding service, vehicle buyers are finding the Motorplex at Centerra the best place in the region to buy a new or used vehicle,” said Rocky Scott, President of Centerra.

The Motorplex at Centerra is currently home to six auto dealerships including Co’s BMW Center, King Buick Pontiac GMC, Davidson-Gebhardt Chevrolet, Ferrero I-25 Chrysler Jeep Dodge, Subaru of Loveland, and L2. Each dealer has a large selection of quality used cars. Combined, a broad selection of hundreds of cars and trucks are available for convenience of vehicle buyers across the region.
