New Health & Fitness Programs Kickoff July 19

LOVELAND, COLO. – July 11, 2013 – Friday afternoons in July and August will find Chapungu Sculpture Park at Centerra buzzing with cardio activity. Beginning on July 19, The Great Lawn will host a brand new, complimentary health and fitness program, Passport to Health, presented by University of Colorado Health and Miramont Lifestyle Fitness. The six-week, outdoor series will feature active and educational classes each focusing on a different fitness activity.

The weekly Passport to Health fitness series includes:

July 19: Boot Camp – strength conditioning and circuits
July 26: Yoga – strength, balance and coordination
August 2: Kickboxing – cardio, conditioning, and muscular toning
August 9: Zumba – fun, dance-based cardio
August 16: Power Walk and Running – cardio, heart rate
August 23: Cycling – cardio, heart rate, and training

The classes are open to all ages and fitness levels from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each Friday. Classes will be led by a Miramont Lifestyle Fitness certified instructor and include health and wellness tips from University of Colorado Health medical professionals. “We’re very excited about this partnership with Centerra and UCH,” said Amanda Wicker, General Manager at Miramont Lifestyle Fitness Centerra. “We love having the opportunity to take our talented instructors, bring some of our favorite activities outside, and offer a format that all ages and fitness levels can enjoy and participate in.”

There are no caps on class size, however, pre-registration is recommended for the Cycling class on August 23, as there will be a limited number of spin bikes available. Attendees are also encouraged to bring water bottles, a small towel and an exercise mat.

The Health & Fitness Series is sponsored by University of Colorado Health, Miramont Lifestyle Fitness, and Peloton Cycles. Chapungu Sculpture Park is conveniently located at I-25 and US 34 on the corner of Centerra Parkway and Kendall Parkway just east of Macy’s at The Promenade Shops at Centerra.
