But you’ll believe it when you see the holiday lights sparkling, you hear carolers caroling and Santa ho-ho-ho-ing, and you smell the delicious aroma of hot cocoa wafting through the chilly air. And you may find yourself quietly singing, “It’s beginning to look a lot like A Very Centerra Holiday.”

Btw, since 2026 happens to be Centerra’s 25th Anniversary — and therefore this is Centerra’s 25th holiday season — we offer you an especially warm invitation to join us for all the festivities.

Flip the Switch Ceremony

Friday, Nov 13, 5 – 7 pm

Chapungu Sculpture Park

Possibly the most dramatic moment of the whole holiday hoopla, when our Light of the Community honoree steps up, puts a finger to the switch, and suddenly like a shower of stars from the heavens … LIGHTS! Naturally, we’ll also have carolers, cocoa and a giant snow-globe photo op. Not to be missed.

All Is Bright Tour

Treat yourself to a whole night of holiday brightness. Begin at Chapungu Sculpture Park for our signature light display: Chapungu Illiminated. Then make your way to festively lighted homes and businesses throughout Centerra. Know what else you’ll find scattered around the community? Cocoa stations. So spend a buck, have a cup and drink in the season.

SANTA’S WORKSHOP

Saturday, Dec 5, 11 am – 3 pm

Loveland Visitor Center

Hosted by Visit Loveland, this celebration of locally crafted goodness will feature the unique works of Loveland vendors, photos with Santa, an alpine slide and plenty of family fun. Or drop by for roasted s’mores. (Which could be classified as sticky family fun.)

Promenade Shops at Centerra

This year, Santa is showing up big in Centerra. We’ll have a Reindeer Visit, chances to take photos with Santa, have Breakfast with Santa and do some Skating with Buddy & Jovie. The big guy has quite a number of events and appearances coming up, so be sure to get Santa on your schedule.

It’s quite the spectacle. People in all manner of holiday gear — Santa hats, Rudolph noses, elf leggings, reindeer antlers, etc. — running, strolling and sometimes skipping a one-mile loop around Chapungu Sculpture Park. And with all the twinkle lights shining, it is by far the funnest, most festive way to get your steps in.

HOLIDAY MUSIC BINGO & UGLY SWEATER PARTY

Thursday, Dec 17, 6-8 pm

Kinston Hub

You knew ugly sweaters had to show up somewhere in the program. And we’re combining them with a version of bingo that will test your holiday music knowledge. Prizes will be awarded for bingo winners and the ugliest sweater. So crank up the holiday tunes and go find that horrendous pullover.
