Our top 10 reasons to live here

Here beneath the majestic Front Range backdrop, immersed in the creative vibe, rich history and outdoorsy mindset, we can’t help but feel lucky. Loveland is, simply put, a fantastic place to live. Whether you’re the adventurous type, an art lover, a foodie, or family-first homebuyer, Kinston gives you a front-row seat to the region’s best-kept secret. In no particular order, here are some of the things we love most about life in Loveland.

1. The heart of Northern Colorado

You can’t talk about Loveland without making NoCo (as Northern Coloradoans call it) a big part of the conversation. Loveland gives you VIP access to a thriving region known for over 500 public works of art, nearly 200 restaurants, 35 beautifully maintained parks, two world-class universities and stunning mountain views.

2. An ideal location for recreation

Life in the foothills means you have easy access to the best of the Rocky Mountains. Boating, swimming, and paddleboarding at Boyd Lake State Park and Horsetooth Reservoir. Fishing on the Big Thompson and Cache la Poudre rivers. And exceptional hiking and mountain biking all around.

3. Shopping and dining close to home

Kinston is steps from The Promenade Shops at Centerra, site of festive events year round, popular shops and tasty restaurants. Just a few steps farther, Centerra Marketplace boasts name-brand stores and go-to casual dining options—all without leaving the neighborhood.

4. Chapungu Sculpture Park in your backyard

Curated among 26-acres of gardens and winding pathways, you’ll find dozens of larger-than-life Zimbabwean stone sculptures that can turn a simple morning stroll or afternoon walk into a memorable experience. A Chapungu Sculpture Park summer concert series turns a Friday evening into a reason to get out and have some fun with friends. And it’s all right across the street from Kinston.

5. Cities and towns abound

In our neck of the woods, you’re not far from two great cities, Fort Collins and Greeley, and the charming mountain town of Estes Park. And when you want to go big, downtown Denver is a mere 50 miles south. Plus, Centerra Loveland Mobility Station is now open right next door to Kinston so trips to downtown Fort Collins and Denver’s Union Station are as easy as hopping on a bus.

6. Golf is good

Loveland is home to multiple golf courses. Including The Olde Course, a par 72 featuring mature trees, six scenic ponds and a unique island green. The championship Mariana Butte plays off elevated tees, through rocky terrain and along the Big Thompson River. And 20 minutes away, the championship TPC Colorado is a NoCo icon. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just getting into the swing of gold, there’s a course nearby for you.

7. Downtown Loveland is special

From galleries and gift shops to breweries and family diners, historic downtown Loveland delivers charm, creativity, and plenty to do for all ages. Whether you’re catching live music, sipping a cappuccino or browsing boutiques, it’s truly a great place to be.

8. High Plains Environmental Center (HPEC)

Just a short bike ride from Kinston, the High Plains Environmental Center (HPEC), on the shores of Houts Reservoir, shares ways that parks, gardens, backyards and schoolyards can be more like Colorado’s natural ecosystem and habitat for native wildlife. It features a plant nursery, demonstration gardens and scenic walking trails and it’s open to visitors.

9. Hub Café: sip, savor and socialize

Hub Café by Fresh Plate is just the place for fresh coffee and baked goods, inspired sandwiches and healthy salads, creative happy hour cocktails and shareables—and always a welcoming spot to connect with neighbors. Great food and friendly vibes are a short walk from home.

10. Buc-ee’s, an instant NoCo landmark

Who says you need a road trip to enjoy world-famous Buc-ee’s? The local landmark, located a few exits down I-25, opened in 2023 and instantly became a must-stop roadside attraction. Stock up on snacks, try the highly rated barbeque or grab some merch anytime you’re coming or going from Loveland.

So What Are You Waiting For?

From outdoor adventure to urban convenience, Kinston in Loveland offers everything you need to live your best Northern Colorado life.
